AX860i Complete Wrong Values in Corsair Link ? - Page 2

So I will tell you something.

the power of a blubb ist an easy ohm resistor ther you will se the effektive power so you have the right values.
a powersupply is an induktive an kapacitve resistor and this ist the problem for all wattmeter this is a problem for your energyprowider to because an induktive and kapacitve resiter consums a hidden power thats isn't seen by your wattmeter.
or your energy. this blindpower made round till 10%

im not sure how ist the Software get ther values for input if as AC or DC if DC its better to get the right values
the output is an litle tricky because you have 3.3, 5, 12 and -12Volts
all four voltages have a consumtion and this is a combined power.

i am not sur how they calculate this power but the most supplys have 2 tranform ciruits for this votages
the ideal is for every votages one tranformer

here you have mor infos about the Blindleistung, Scheinleistung Leistungsfaktor
and for the Englisch users Reactive Power, Power Factor
PFC - Power-Factor-Correction / LeistungsfaktorkorrekturGerman

Switched-mode power supply

if you want know your effective power consumtion you have to get all values for your supply an calculate everything about powerfactor and Ractive power but this ist a number of its self

so sorry for my bad englisch

Where did you find corsairlink Version 2.5.5145 cause corsair hasnt updated their webpage. I take that back they have a brand new webpage they just havent updated the important things like software/firmware downloads

NVM a simple google search found it now that I know the version and i see its STILL beta, prolly why they havent updated webpage, but why is it still in beta last I knew they promised a new version would be done in 4-6 weeks but that was like 46 weeks ago rolleyes.gif

Use corsair Link 2.3.4816 and you will get more accurate readings. Newer versions often show that my PSU produces power (efficiency goes above 100%)

Thanx - I actually have been waiting for the newest version cause I have had so many issues with previous versions. Its been a while so I dont even remember what it was w/ that ver. but accuracy is the least of my concerns lol. I just want a new version that's not broken.

Not to be a jerk but what is the hold up with this piece of software and why all the problems. Hopefully George will come back and shed some light on the matter. Corsair has been my go-to for alot of pc components, its just frustrating when you have to wait so long for a working update. My Kingpin needs more power! and for reasons such as this I may have to seek out a 1300 watt EVGA but I gotta say it would be much easier to just upgrade and use the $100 corsair cables I invested in. So frustrating

BTW is their any other reasons I shouldnt use the new Beta, other than accuracy?

For me the latest beta is terribly slow. I mean it takes a lot of time to load for no apparent reason (about 30 sec). It takes more time to show different info on screen (few seconds but old version it takes part of the second). And detection of motherboard which it uses is incorrect - in my case it shows additional fan connected to motherboard which i do not have. I mentioned incorrect power readings (i get up to 180% efficiency according to the latest version). It seems that CorsairLink gets broken more and more with every new version. This is why i use the good old 2.3.4816 because everything works as it should with it.

We're changing over the backend stuff on a lot of the newer betas to increase accuracy and stability, some of the hardware configurations can't be tested internally (too many different possible configs) so the reason the software is still in Beta is so we can get bug reports from end-users and fix them before it goes final.
