DO NOT BUY that mouse. EVER. Do NOT buy a laser mouse for any kind of even semi-serious FPS gaming. That is a rule everyone should follow. You will hate it so much, I know I did. Also, don't buy wireless for FPS gaming either.

Do NOT buy a laser mouse if FPS is part of your requirements here. PTE mice are a pain in the ass to deal with. I would explain more, but just know that I have personal experience with each major sensor type (3090, 3310, 9500/9800, and PTE) and I can tell you do not buy a PTE mouse if BF4 is one of your games.

Also its a mouse that won't break in 6 months unlike Razer stuff.

I wish this fit the OP's requirements. Seriously, this is THE FPS mouse to have right now, and of course lends itself to a wide variety of both grip styles and games.

A definite option as well.

I don't have any super specific requirements, but I managed to negate every mouse I was thinking about as a successor... After reading those mega-threads about each of those.
I play bf4, dota, maybe insurgency in future. Play only normal (med-high) sensitivity but I don't want to lose the option to play low sens. Razer Goliathus speed pad.

Deathadders - I did like the mouse but it is not easy to lift at all, heavy and slippery. Shape is OK but I believe could be better. DA 2013 even worse durability than mine.
G400S - I had an mx518 and never felt very comfortable with it, I replaced it with the DA only because I was sure there is a lot of room for improvement. I can't aim properly with my ring finger on top of the mouse, and it is uncomfortable in the side with this mouse shape.
Zowies - My hand is kinda big so only EC1 EVO relevant. I hate the impression of the super low LOD lowering max speed to less than 3 m/s, and the fact it can spike to 4m/s sometimes even more. Also I would really like to keep 1800DPI for desktop and DOTA.
SS rival - I got an impression from the talking on the forum and from a video that you can't tap LMB as fast as most gaming mice with the blabla switches. Which is very critical for BF4. Also I hate being unable to install the latest drivers because of the problems in the latest firmwares. And seems like there are quality issues too.

The shop I must buy from (they give me a big discount) has mice only from these companies, any other suggestions ??
Corsair
Logitech
Microsoft
Razer
Roccat
SteelSeries
Thermaltake Tt eSports
Zowie
RAPOO
CM Storm

The Rival isn't anywhere near as bad as you make it out to be. First of all, the shape is actually more comfortable than the DA. The switch feel wasn't that different from a regular Omron, but it sounded different. I had zero problems with that mouse for ultra fast tap firing of pistols in COD4, for example. Works great, and it has the best sensor you can get for FPS gaming. I never had the issue, but firmware downgrading back to an older version of the software and firmware does not in any way affect the software-tunable features of that mouse.

crap they suggested me like 60% discount and that Mionix Avior isn't even sold in my country. mad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gif
I tried moving the mouse as fast as I think I ever would when playing, enotous test shows 2.8m/s rolleyes.gif
BUT I saw guys saying the zowie does like 3m/s normally and got the impression the 4m/s are just spikes... also my pad isn't all black and it gets dusty all the time, and I heard that the sensor with that lense is very sensitive to dust.
I'm kinda OCD about this mouse bull**** so I really don't want to get into the habit of blaming dust and cleaning it every few days ... tongue.gif
Hmm personally when I was in my best in Battlefield 3 I could burst fire the 900RPM guns very good and they suddenly become super accurate beast if you can burst them excellent. But now I don't play a lot and I really can't burst very good with my deathadder, so anything worse than this will upset me ... frown.gif So I'm a little scared of that ss rival.
BTW the ouroborus bull**** is laser + optical , 2 sensors biggrin.gif:D Got it as a gift and returned it immediately. redface.gif

Is it possible btw to replace the scroll button switch on my DA? or even take it apart and clean the spring and contact ?

I remember seeing a thread about this and the 3.5G a while back. Take a look on the search.

Actually I searched about this but I didn't see anyone else with a scroll button problem, only the scrolling itself...

Got the DA 2013 in the end... very similar to the older one (black edition), the weight difference is very nice, the rubber on the sides seems useless, it doesn't grip better than the normal finish it has around it (and that the black edition had) unless your hand is made of asphalt...
The downside though is that the switches feel a lot more loose and maybe more travel too, and the right click sounds like crap if I release it fast, seems like a popular problem - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7HSstSm4Zc
I bet they had a bad batch and if I go to the store and try another mouse it will be from the same batch, damn razer, next time I buy a product from them will be when they give you a lifetime warranty with unlimited replacement for any reason + a free moon.

its the main reason why i left my da 2013 its was getting annoying yesterday when i started sweating since mines is about year old the mouse kept drooping out of my hand razer rubber choice was not good when I use lotion it actually gets worst lol

Replaced the mouse with another DA2013, same **** with the right mouse button, and the scrolling was completely dead in both directions, tested on 3 PCs... Replaced it again, the third one has an even worse right mouse button. It sounds really loose and you can't click it fast. Guys don't but razer products if you don't have free fuel to go to the store 100 times and a super-calm spirit ...

I've known about how unreliable Razer products are for years. Avoid them.

How about you listen to the suggestions and just try the Avior?
Despite the -for me- annoying side buttons - it's really top notch.

The Rival is of course also something to consider.
