Hmm, you were right. the core clock has been fluctuating while playing.

I've tried doing fresh driver installs of beta drivers and non beta drivers but I still get the same crappy performance... Any ideas?

make sure you change this in control panel. I just got 2 290x and a xeon 1230v3 and was pretty upset because my performance was worse than my older rig with FX 8320 and 2 GTX 760s.

seems obvious, but that setting makes all the difference smile.gif

hope that helps! cheers!

also, if that does not work do the render test in GPU-Z to determine if you are getting the proper PCIe 2.0 or 3.0 speeds...

Just as Pontiac said, the only time it fluctuates like that is when it is hitting the temp limit and then it starts to downclock. You may need some more airflow on that card and a higher fan speed, possibly going back to stock speeds as well.

Try decreasing your vcore, gpu clock and power limit OR check your vrm temperature first
