Hey, i have a Corsair Vengeance and i'm in trouble because i accidentally got the control panel on my wire in a glass of water for like 20 minutes, don't ask me why it was an accident. Now i can't hear anything through them. I've tried this and try to connect past the circuit board and i don't seem to find a way to make it work (i'm not the best at this) so i thought if anyone here knows if you could link the cables past the circuit board? so you get the mic and sound to work. thanks in advance.
If the circuit board is dead, you are pretty much SOL.
However, what I recommend that you do is simply wire the headphones for a normal 3.5mm jack.
So essentially your cable would split into two cables. On one cable you would have your right, left, and ground signal going to an audio 3.5mm jack that you can buy from radio shack.
The other cable would have your mic and ground going to another 3.5mm cable.
Then just plug it into your PC via the sound card or onboard audio.
If you need to use USB, then what I suggest is that you buy your self a cheap USB sound card and then plug your mic and audio connectors into the USB sound card and just use that.
Thanks for the help! I will try to wire the 3.5mm and see how it goes, i'll write if i get it working nicely
