[Build Log] Time to upgrade my HAF-X with Alphacool UT60 480

I built this computer a year ago. It was my first stab at water cooling but I'm due for an upgrade. I was inspired by "Saer" and his build at : http://www.overclock.net/t/1148967/skynet-water-cooled-haf-x-840mm-radiator-990x-tri-sli-evga-580-hydro-coppers.

RomeoKilo,

and indiyet

I first started with a Swiftech H2O-320-Elite which came with the Apogee Drive II. It has served me well in the past year but now its time for an upgrade. These are my current specs:

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5 GHz Quad-Core
MSI Z77 MPOWER Motherboard
EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB GDDR5 3.0 PCI-Express
Crucial BLE2KIT8G3D1869DE1TX0 16GB kit 1866 Balistic
OCZ VERTEX 3 120gb SSD
Seagate ST2000DM001 Barracuda 7200RPM 2 TB SATA 6 GB/s HD
Swifttech H2O-320-Elite Watercooling Kit
Alphacool NexXxos UT60 480 Full Copper Radiator
Windows 8.1 Pro
Asus 24" VS247H-P Monitor
Logitech G510 Keyboard
Seasonic SS-850AM 850W 80 Plus Bronze M12II PS
Cooler Master Haf-X Case
Azza USB 5-keys Wired Mouse

The tubes are discolored because of the age they are also soft on some spots. I only used distilled water in the loop. I know its a little dusty but here are my current pics

I had to put the first fan in push because it hit the power and reset switch in the top cover

Yes, thats a dent in my 480. It happened because I had too much junk in my workspace during my build. One thing got pushed and it was at the back of the line at the edge of the table. But thankfully it looks worse than it really is and it has no leaks.

My cable management at the back and the relocated media panel and usb ports.

A closer look of the relocated panel alone with Swiftech's 8 port PWM fan hub.

My first part arrived and I couldn't wait to put it in. An EVGA 780ti Classified.

Here is my list of the purchased items for my upgrade:

EVGA 780TI Classified with EVGA 780Ti waterblock and backplate (Got all 3 separately, Hydro Copper wasn't available at the time)
Cooler Master V1000 - 1000 W Fully Modular 80+ Gold

One thing - you say that you only use distilled water in your loop - is this true? No killcoils or biocide can lead to algae, which looks suspiciously present in your tubes.

Agreed, might want to change your tubing and clean everything (Blocks and radiators), I suggest Primochill Primoflex Advanced LRT.

As for anti-algae, I'd use Mayhems Biocide Extreme, a couple of drops every 2-3 months and you'll never have algae.

Thank you both for your input. I actually did use a silver killcoil with a couple drops of biocide in the loop. I already dumped the tubing a couple of weeks ago. It was the first time I drained the loop in 1 year. I remember the water was clear with no debris in it when I took it apart. Either way I will be flushing the rad and blocks before filling the new loop. I couldn't delete this trend but I started a new one here:

Let me know what you all think of my progress so far.

Why do you have so many radiators only cooling the cpu?

I was planning ahead. I was going to add my video card to the loop when funds became available but I never got around to do it. I just saved until I can do something a little better. It took me a year but better late than never. I started my upgrade. You can see my progress in my new trend here:
