By the way, is MDPC still kings of the sleeve? I used to buy sleeving from an Overclock.net member but it's been a LONG time. Cant stand staring at these bare, unsleeved wires frown.gif

Cheers!

I'm trying acrylic tubing for the first time in the near future - I think it's best to just dive right in thumb.gif

I always thought performance-pcs.com was the "first" company to sleeve a PSU but not 100% sure on that. I've always ordered my sleeving from them in the past. I'm going with paracord for my next project though. 100 feet for less than $12 on Amazon - almost any color you can think of. Can't beat that! Paracord is a little tougher to work with since it's not stiff but I hear it works great and just takes a little patience.

Oh and subbed by the way! thumb.gif

Thanks for the sub!

Seems like that is the way to go. I just love the look of acrylic pipe too much to go back to soft tube tongue.gif

Paracord sounds awesome! Especially since I already have ~700 ft of black cord still tongue.gif

Check BudK as well. They usually have sales on their paracord. It's got a core but it is the easiest thing in the world to remove core from paracord tongue.gif

Cheers!

Alright, case was finally decided on. It will be the 900D smile.gif

I was so torn between the MH10 and the 900D, but in the end the 900D will work a bit better for what I have planned. Plus, with the extra $300 I might be able to start buying WC stuff a lot earlier than expected.

I'm going to try sleeving a spare EVGA 430w PSU I have from my cluster with the black paracord to see what it looks like. I'm quite optimistic and if it looks good I'll place an order for the red paracord to compliment!

For the final update of the night....TITAN!

Twins? Not quite tongue.gif But man those coolers look good.. shame they can't cool worth a damn

It might be a little while before I can go full Titan stock. We'll see. In the meantime, though, I've been taking some inspiration from a number of mods I've seen over the years. Here are a couple examples:

I'm not the most artistic person on the planet (hence why I am a systems programmer xD) so it will be interesting for me to break out of my comfort zone and work with some of these ideas smile.gif

Until next time!

Speaking of watercooling stuff..I've been playing around on PPC tonight...my wallet cried a little bit frown.gif Though I cannot say I wasn't expecting a bill like this for this build. It is still sacrilege to keep air coolers on those Xeons ;D

Mainly looking for suggestions / feedback about these parts. Monsoon fittings appear to be non-existent in matte black 1/2" x 5/8" T_T

If I read EK's website that 780 Ti block should be compatible with the titan...which is strange to me, but eh. I'll also look to buy a backplate for it as well

Are you dead set on 1/2 x 5/8 tubing? You can get 1/2" OD x 3/8" ID acrylic tubing here for $0.62 per foot, as opposed to $2.12 per foot for that Monsoon stuff.

I found this via a MNPC tech video where they used this exact tubing with primochill revolver fittings (1/2 x 3/8 of course)

Nope, definitely open to the idea! Reason I defaulted to 1/2" x 5/8" is because that's what I always used in the past with soft tubing. Something about more flow if I recall...

I too have always used 1/2 ID soft tubing for my water setups. That being said, from the little research I've done so far on 1/2 vs 3/8 tubing, there seems to be a negligible change in temperature / cooling performance between the two sizes. I didn't see any 1/2" x 5/8" acrylic tube on mcmaster's site so I think i'm going with the 3/8 x 1/2". It's super cheap and that means I can get a lot of it for the inevitable mistakes i'll make on my first attempts at bending.
