Hey guys, so since I last posted I have built my new rig which I added to my rig list(I will have pics up soon) using the same 4770k. I tried stress testing it with all the new components and I am still seeing the drops in both cpu clock and North Bridge clock but at least less frequently than before. Do you think I might have a faulty cpu? Mind you this is at default settings with no overclock.

Those random drops in TMonitor are a problem with TMonitor. It's a nice graph but the data it reports is not 100% consistent so don't use it.

Try running ThrottleStop and click on the Log File option. Not very flashy but the data reported by ThrottleStop is excellent. Have a look in the log file at the multiplier while stress testing. Turn off TMonitor / CPU-Z and all the rest of your monitoring apps so you can record some high quality data. Copy and paste your log file data to www.pastebin.com so I can have a look. The latest version has improved Haswell support.

Core unparking could also help removing CPU attemps to drop frequency, although not too sure if that helps in this particular case.

For stress testing, try Intel Xtreme tuning utility, it's got a bar graph, to see if the "ripple" is still showing...
