Hello everyone, I'm a new member here in Overclock forums and I'm currently looking for the best optical mouse for gaming.

My current mouse is Microsoft wireless mouse 1000 and it's awful in games especially when aiming, I prefer fingertip grip but no problem with palm grip. I've 7" inch/7 cm hand.

I've read and searched a lot about this topic and here's my options until now:
  • Razer DeathAdder
  • ZOWIE GEAR EC1 eVo CL
  • ROCCAT Kone Pure Optical
  • ROCCAT Savu Mid-Size Hybrid
  • Mionix AVIOR 7000

Please advice me, and thanks in advance.

All have their pros and cons, it depends on what you're looking for in a mouse. This is why this form was made:

Input anything else you want.

The new Mionix mice are near perfect in build quality, fit and finish, and tracking. Just pick the mouse shell (Naos or Avior) that fits your grip style and let it ride.

Second, I'd go for the Zowie, but I'm a Zowie whore, so you may take that with a grain of salt.

It is impossible to say which is the best because it all depends on your grip style. Do you palm, claw or use fingertip grip or maybe something else?

Edit: I'd try out G100s if you truly prefer fingertip grip.

I would say that or probably the FK.

I don't see why Avior couldn't be fingertip gripped.
Disclaimer: I don't have it.
You can.

The shape is better for my hands at least than the FK shape.
Claw works better on the Avior too imho.

oh the avior hype, the sensor is great but the shape/weight is bad imo. yes i own one. waiting for the cm storm 3310 mouse. i have it plugged in right now and it has pretty high LOD on my black hayate too. My ec2 evo cl stops tracking in instant i lift it.

Sorry I didn't see it, I'm new here.

I will fill it in the right thread.

It's laser not optical, and I've read that laser isn't good for gaming cause of hardware acceleration.

So you choose Zowie over Avior, right?

Doesn't have extra programmable keys.

It's has a higher price compared to Razer and Zowie about 20$ but if it's the right one for me I will get it -ISA-.

FK or eVo CL is better?

Is Lift-Off Distance important?
