Second-hand Thinkpad vs new laptop

Thread Starter
I need to buy a laptop for my mom and occasionally myself. The budget is kinda low (330 euros), but I stumbled upon a seemingly very good offer. I found a Thinkpad L420 in condition with an i3-2330M and a whole year of warranty and some cash to spare for a 120gb cheapo SSD. My "brand new" options include mostly bay trail celerons and ivy bridge pentiums, the best one being another Lenovo G500 with a Pentium 2020M and an AMD 8570M.

Considering the fact that it will be mostly used for mom tasks like MS office and an ocassional movie, should I go for the thinkpad or one of the new options? The screens are bad from what I've but the build quality and keyboards should make up for that. Is the 2020M that much bether than the 2330M?

Looks like the 2330M is slightly faster than the 2020M. The i3 has hyperthreading, which the Pentium lacks.
Either way, the difference should not be noticeable in everyday use.

Yeah, the Thinkpad L420 should have the better keyboard so I would go with that one.
