399.99 Refurb 1 year warranty from Ebay direct.

Would've bought already if I had an Ebay account.

I've bought a good amount of things from eBay as well as ran an eBay store for a local brick and mortar store. eBay highly favors the buyer in disputes and offers quite a bit of protection through their site as well as PayPal. Thus being said you should still check out seller ratings and recent feedback to check for any red flags. Always be aware of scams though, occasional a buyer or seller will message you asking to do something unorthodox like do a payment on the side, change and address etc. You should never do this, follow all the normal eBay and PayPal procedures, this will make sure you have protection and a proper paper trail in case of any kind of dispute.

Recently I sold a Wacom Intuos tablet on eBay and the buyer messaged me after paying, asking me to ship to a different address because he was on his military base and his wife would have had to ship it to him from their house. I replied and apologized saying that everything was automatically generated and shipped to the address given to PayPal. Though it wasn't and I could have shipped to his new address easily it would have left me open to a claim since the tracking and insurance address wouldn't have matched up with Paypal.

Still it's better to order from a reputable seller. Even though you will be protected most of the time it's easier to pay a bit more and not have to deal with the hassle of filing a claim and communicating with the seller and eBay.

Ohoh! Very smart move.. I think (I probably have 5-6 years old comprehension so yeah).

Thanks. I'm really bad at this it seems the info looks good from the seller.

I thought it was directly from eBay themselves and it doesn't seem to be

Seems the seller's rating is pretty high tho.

Positive: 25,390 12 months
Neutral: 148
Negative: 319

Lots of 5 stars

Thanks for sharing your story. I don't think I'll be dealing with random sellers w/ ebay for a long while.. and the fact that I'm poor right now LOL xD

Any other tips?

Just my personal opinion:
Don't sell on ebay.
Don't just check the reviews, check the items the seller had sold. Sometimes some scammers sell a bunch of ultra-low-cost items to get high ratings, then use it to scam by listing a bunch of too-good-to-be-true prices on popular stuff.
Oh, did I mention? Don't sell on ebay.

That seller on ebay is Microsoft authorized reseller (confirmed by Microsoft themselves I believe), so no worries there. If it wasn't for the tax, I'd have bought my Surface from them (got mine off Cowboom refurbished, $360).

Sadly, it isn't even a Windows 8 tablet. It is Windows RT tablet which is a huge big difference between Windows RT and Windows 8.

Quick question guys.

Can you do this on Surface Pro/Surface Pro 2 and maybe any other W8 tablet?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wG1b0yBJHLM

This guy is using Surface 2 which is Windows RT.
