DualShock 4 in hand, I was still trying to get my bearings. Everything around me seemed ripe for hacking: cell phones, security cameras, traffic signals.

I really hope the PC version on max settings is upto the E3 standard otherwise It's gonna be hard for me to preorder, I really wanted something which stresses my system, looks good and plays good like Watch Dogs, seems this might not be the case from a visual standpoint anymore mad.gif

Finally, Yes. And I don't give 2cents.gif about benchmarks, Mantle, etc, just good uninterupted gameplay. redface.gif

Again rolleyes.gif I don't care... The Oracle in my brain said someone was gonna make a Mantle comment lol. biggrin.gif

yeah what the hell?? They REALLY downgraded the graphics! How do you even do that?!

I'm hoping this graphical downgrade is just for the consoles, because they are uglyyyyy.

Yes I know graphics alone dont make a game good, and a game can be good without stunning graphics. I'm still excited about the gameplay and what we'll be able to do inside of game world, but last-gen graphics will put a real damper on it for me personally.

For real, It's about gameplay for me too but this just took a graphics downgrade too far lol, if they showed us this at E3 I wouldn't be so disappointed.

The Division, I swear that's made by ubisoft too? If that's suffered the same fate...

Ubisoft usually does CGI trailers and it's pretty obvious so people aren't too disappointed when they see the final graphics. But i don't understand this with Watch Dogs because the gameplay they showed at E3 was not a CGI trailer. It was real gameplay. The game actually looked that good at one point and was clearly running fine. I can't think of any reason they would have just scrapped the graphics they put all the work into. The only logical explanation I can think of is that they overestimated the power of the X1 and PS4 during development, which didn't have finalized specs at the time (and likely not even dev kits, this game has been in development for a while) so they were developing for PC first, anticipating the new consoles could handle the same quality. Then when they realized that the consoles weren't as powerful as people expected, they had to dumb-down the console versions, and maybe their saving the graphical-assets from earlier for the PC version.

Gosh I hope so, I've been waiting for this game for ages and would hate to know it's been ruined by deceiving marketing, this is the worst graphical downgrade I've ever witnessed, especially after so much gameplay videos of E3 quality, and then bam, this hits, hopefully the gameplay makes up for it.

GS say they used a Dual Shock 4 which hints towards PS4 gameplay footage, alot of players are hoping this is last gen footage...

Even if the graphics are not as good as they look at E3 (I hope these were taken from the PS3/Xbox 360), I am still looking forward to the gameplay. It should be a very good game.
