Fluctuating P-states making 2nd monitor flicker

I have 2 gtx580 in sli mode and the 334.89 drivers. Lately I've noticed that my second monitor flashes while not gaming. Looking Nvidia inspector I can see that the P-states are fluxuating seemingly randomly from p12/p8/p0. I do use Nvidia inspector Multi display power settings but they are not always over-riding so if it's supposed to be p08 it will go to p0 or p12 without and reason (like opening a browser)

This doesn't change when I disable Multi Display power settings or turn off Nvidia Inspector all together. Is this a driver issue or are my cards going? Other than using Nvidia inspector's multi monitor settings, I'm doing no overclocking or tweaking.

Was it doing it with the previous nvidia driver?

Make sure the cables are in right.

Switch the monitors around and see if the flickering is still going, this one is a long shot tongue.gif

Thanks for the answer. Actually this was a good excuse to upgrade my monitor so I did, but unfortunately the flicker is still there. I would say this started occurring close to the time that this driver came out but it's hard to tell. That's probably my next step (going back to the previous driver) if no one has any better ideas.
