Hey guys, I just wanted to get ahead of the game here a little bit and get all the people who have their pre-orders in (and later for people who physically own it) for the Corsair 760t. Talk about specs, build ideas, build logs and the like. Once it is released I'll get the Official Owner Log up for everyone to sign in, but I'm not going to do it for preorders.

"The Graphite Series 760T features an industry-first fully windowed side panel, but don't let its looks fool you - it's got tons of expansion room and cooling capabilities. With nine expansion slots, room for a 360mm radiator up top and a 280mm radiator in front, six tool-free, modular hard drive bays and four side-mounted SSD trays, you'll have a hard time filling it up with parts. And with dual front AF140L LED intake fans and a single AF140L rear exhaust, you'll have tons of airflow to keep everything nice and cool.
The 760T gives you a ton of flexibility to build the gaming rig you've always dreamt about. And the full side panel window gives you the freedom to show it off."

Hey George how come we're not seeing any reviews of the case?

So pumped for this case. I have had it pre-ordered since late January and the time spent waiting has been done so in complete agony. I wonder how difficult it would be to replace the Plexiglas or Acrylic type plate with a glass. Like instead of the plastic window, take that out and insert glass in place of the plastic. I am not into case modding but that is something I am going to look into when it arrives.

I'm not sure if that's all too good of an idea. Since the whole panel is basically just the acrylic that would put a lot of weight on the hinges mounted on the back, and you'd also have to cut the handle hole out and the hinge mounts. Seems like a lot of work, but if you can get it done you better post it here and show it off!

George what would be your take on trying to maybe put some glass on the side there. I know case modding isn't your deal but I am curious to here what you might think on this. Maybe an idea of difficulty. I ask because... well... you know your own case better than anyone else.

Who in their right mind wouldn't? It not that I hate acrylics but it seems like it scratches WAY to easily and it also tends to attract EVERYTHING - from hair, to dust, to things I don't even know what the heck are.

I'm sure we would be looking at some different hinges of some sort in that case (no pun intended).

George I am glad you are here and active with the community. I saw your reveal video of the 760t at CES with LinusTechTips. You did a dang good job and were pretty cool about the whole deal. Seems like a lot of people like you, keep up the good work. Also, its really cool to be able to freely talk about it with the Global Product Manager, someone high up.

Thanks again.

On a side note however, will there be some kind of cover or filter for a majority of the case fans or is it only going to be a select few. In addition to that, is there going to be a cover for the top grate just in case someone decides not to put anything up there? It could be somewhat of a peace of mind deal for people that don't want things falling down into their case from the top grates.

EDIT: Also now that I am thinking. I don't know what I want to do with this new chassis, how I want the fans setup, how I want the internal pressure level, where I will setup my exhausts and intakes. I have always had side panel fans so this is all brand new to me. I am going to have to rework my traditional layout and start with a new and better one. Any opinions on pressure and fan placement on this one boys? Heck, George what is your take on the situation with the pressure and fan placement?

I think I get the design intent, but I still don't really like that window that goes over the not-so-clean HDD cages / 5.25 bays.
The whole window framing situation is kinda weird - half of the PSU exposed / half not etc...feels a definite step forward from the 660t internally, but the exterior - I don't know. Seems the design team wasn't refining the design with components in to visualize it a tad better, much like in my field high-design spaces/buildings are sometimes designed as "sculptures" with no consideration for the occupants. Unless ofc you rip all those cages out, and have the front populated with a custom WC rig - cool, yet a very small % of the real owners will go all-the-way.

The 760T is definitely more elegant than many cases (competition is picking up too in this field) and good in the bigger picture, still I prefer my AIR 540 layout wise. If only we could get that cool SSD mount for it tho

In general I think going "Flat" in the back of the MoBo tray is a good solution to get HDDs/SSDs out of the way. Its more cumbersome to add/remove drives, but most enthusiasts have moved away from the "hot-swappable-HDD-ala-server-case" look. Very few owners of such cases will use more than 1-2x HDDs, and even fewer will have the need to access them that often for the cages to occupy such a prominent position.

You should populate the HDD cages in those promo pics - it looks too empty

Hey George, thanks for the pics and the updated shipping time frame. Is it going to be possible to remove all of the drive trays 3.5" and 2.5" from the front/bottom of the chassis?

Yup. The internals of the 760T/730T and the 750D are identical with one change: the 750D has room for a 240mm on the bottom, and the 760T/730T does not, due to the slope of the bottom metal piece.
