Corsair 760T Owners Club - Page 4

super excited for this case! I pre-ordered from Amazon in mid-February and have been trying to patiently wait since!

I've never done a build with a window, much less one as large and gorgeous as the one on the 760T smile.gif

Trying to get some ideas together for slight mods I can do to make the internals more appealing.. I've been thinking about making a plexi backboard from my SSDs to display them a bit better

here's what I've come up with so far:

both HDD cages will be removed. a piece of plexiglass will run directly under the ODD bays as sort of an extension of the MB tray. RoG-themed black and red design, inspired by the thermal armor on the Maximus VI Forumla and Poseidon GTX 780 fan shroud

I'm really eager to get working on this, but not too certain of what dimensions I will actually need. I want the plexiglass panel to cover from the bottom of the ODD bays to the bottom of the case.. something like this:

paint will be applied to the back of the plexi.. design gets masked first, sprayed black, masking removed, entire surface gets a coat of red.. SSDs get mounted with some 3M VHB tape

any thoughts? I think my dimensions will need to be more like 14" tall but I guess I will have to wait to have the case in-hand to take measurements.. sadsmiley.gif

This is really getting me heated - newly acquired parts have to sit longer aaaaannnnndddd of course now some things will be out of manufacturer warranty if I find they are defective with the new build. Fee-freaking-nominal, this is turning out to be a great start. At this rate I might as well return this X79 ROG board, RAM, and Intel-E CPU and wait for Haswell-E to hit. mad.gif

Oh wait.... THOSE HAVE SAT TO LONG ALREADY ANYWAY

I'm in the same boat. This really sucks.

thanks! I'm really excited for it

re-sized and added room for a third SSD and cut-outs for cable routing.. will most likely be converting my 2TB file storage drive to solid-state if prices continue the direction they're headed biggrin.gif
