Lets say for instance that I don't have to pay for electricity. Whats the best Used GPU to mine with? I'm looking to get into mining a little bit with older GPUs so my initial investment won't be as high compared to getting brand new GPUs.

6950 / 6970 is the best bang for your buck GPU

depending on where you buy from you can get these cards for 100 - 150 range. that put out 480 hash - 500 + and run pretty efficient when undervolted and still put out 450+ hash

6950 unflashed to 6970 does 475 with a subtle oc on 1 thread
6950 flashed to 6970 does 510 with a subtle oc on 2 threads

the next card to come close to this is the R9 270 / 7850 which is pretty hard to obtain for 150 and to get them to put out that kind of hash is kind of hard. redface.gif

Is the 6950-70 Wattage pretty high? Just curious

They could run about 230 250 if you push volts to them. Undervolting really helps I can run 3 of them on a 700 watt PSU easy.

7950s go for pretty much $260-$300. You have to catch the auction at the right time.
