1866 Mhz ddr3 for "1600 Mhz rated" board.

Before I pull the trigger on some memory, I would like to clarify something.

If I purchase 1866mhz sticks for my MB and my motherboard is rated for 1600 mhz will my system still continue to boot?
Will it not post at all, Will it automatically put it's frequency at 1600mhz, or what.

Because atm I'm on ebay and this memory is cheaper than this.
Obviously I'm getting a bit tired of 4gb of ram.

Yep. th 1866 memory will run at 1600 unless you overclock your FSB. (my 1066 memory is running at a bit over 1333 atm) On the bright side you should be able to tighten your memory timings up quite a bit and have the stuff work ok.
