Not sure how you would manage to install drivers in safe mode. Safe mode is for running without drivers.

It makes literately no difference safe mode or not, and i assume your using windows 8 if f8 doesn't work, the way windows 8 to go into safe mode, you hit the shutdown button while holding shift in metro and then it reboots into a blue page with lots of options, pick startup options, and it reboots once more, this time pick safe mode if you really think u need to use it to install drivers... though ive never heard of anyone doing such a thing.

Booting in safe mode has literally nothing to do with the hardware you're using, but rather the operating system. Keep tapping F8 as the computer starts... If F8 is the boot device selector, then pick your boot drive from the list and immediately continue tapping F8. Eventually you'll get to the prompt to enter safe.

Ok windows 7 is F8 for safe mode, you will go to the bootmanager with that ASUS board, select your OS drive, and then spam F8 some more it will bring up the prompt. Getting to safe mode is the same for every motherboard, as its purely windows controlled, your motherboard doesn't actually do anything different in safe mode.

ok I installed the NVidia drivers in normal mode it seems to be working ok . I have another question . how come when I boot up my computer I get a message that says cpu fan error ? can this be because my cpu cooler does not have pwm fans the cpu fan speed on my cooler is controlled by a nob I have the thermaltake nic c5 . should I worry about this message ?

Probably because you have your CPU fan plugged into the "wrong" header. Make sure it's plugged into the one labeled CPU or similar to that. It won't matter if it's 3 or 4 pin. You could also look in the BIOS if there is a way to disable the message or just ignore it.
