Please Help! MSI 780Ti Gaming is not OC out the box as advertised

Hi Guys

My new MSI 780T'i's arrived yesterday and the performance is great, only the core clock is 980MHz as apposed to the advertised 1020MHz

I did not receive a Gaming Branded disk(black with Dragon) but rather a Std MSI disk(white engine). I did not install any MSI software and this is the weird part... acording to the HARDOCP review: "If you do not install the software, then the card will default to "OC Mode" (with the frequencies described above.) In "Gaming Mode," the core clock drops to 980MHz with the boost clock at 1046MHz and in "Silent Mode," the core clock drops to 876MHz and the boost clock to 928MHz (the same as the reference card.) "

Out the box without the MSI drivers and latest Nvidia Drivers my card seems to be set in Gaming Mode???

Any help would be great

Just download the Gaming App or OC it yourself, you are on OVERCLOCK.net

Its quite possible they changed the default mode in a revision since that review.

That app is doing the same thing as PercisionX or MSI Afterburner just to preset settings. Just a gimmick.
