File: \Windows\System32\drivers\megasr.sys
Error Code: 0xc000007b

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Boot Mode: AHCI
File: \Windows\System32\ntoskrnl.exe
Status: 0xc0000221

Appeared under AHCI - Storage Config
Boot Mode: SATA
File: \Windows\System32\ntoskrnl.exe

First please fill your complete system specs - now your system does not have any storage device according your definition (fill hdd/ssd/odd) also you may wanna try to run installation from USB flash drive (can be created with Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool)
What are you installing to?

Is the BIOS at Default, or have you made changes? Have you upgraded to the latest BIOS for that board?

Assuming you do get to Bios / POST... since you indicate that you can change AHCI / RAID / etc

Try disconnecting all drives except for your DVD and Boot drive.

Are all these brand new parts... or are any from previous builds, or used? Has the Boot drive ever been used before?

Is this the initial install... or a re-install after windows stopped working.

You need to give us more information.... and what you put in your Profile List is not enough to help:

AMD A10-7850K APU with Radeon (TM) R7 Graphics
AsRock Fatality FM2A88X+ Killer
Kingston Hyper X
OCZ-ZX1250W [ZX Series Power Supply]

Is this your first build ever... or have you built other systems? Need to know your experience level.

Those error codes usually indicate a missing boot config or a bad driver.. but if boot config, it is typical AFTER an install, not during. Hard to believe that you have bad drivers on several different disks... so I don't think it is that.

Willing to help.. but need more info... what have you tried?

Is the SSD brand new, never used? Are you sure the SSD has the latest firmware also?

Does windows do the initial install, and then the first or second reboot is where the errors start? Or what?

Have you run any Drive tests at all? Have you booted into the Repair Option on the windows disk? Try doing a full Format of the SSD (the long kind, not the short kind)... run chkdsk with /f ?

Trying booting up a a GPARTED (or similar) boot disk : http://gparted.org/ Make sure it sees the drive... and wipe it. Make sure the MBR and boot sectors get wiped also.

You may have a bad drive.... do you have another you can test with? A known working drive? HDD or SSD? That would be the best way to isolate where the problem is... system or Drive...

Please try to be a little more verbose in your replies, lol!

1. SSD is brand new - as of the SSD firmwire....chking...

2. Sometimes it reaches the "Initial Install screen" other times it just #NopeUShallNotPass #ShallNotSee

3. Assuming its brand new, not intended to do any Long Format.

4. At times trying to boot into Linux OS such as BT5, Ubuntu etc, the screen hangs.

They all are SATA Drives.

Update: I have rolled backed the Bios from P1.80 to P1.70
- Attempt to install Windows 8.1 again..
