DD and gparted are included in the iso?

dd is for sure, I believe gparted is also. If not it's as simple as opening a terminal and typing " sudo apt-get install gparted"

Figure out which disk you want to clone by typing "sudo fdisk -l" in a terminal, then the syntax of DD is like such:

dd if=/disk/to/copy of=/disk/to/copy/to bs=1M

DO NOT mix up the if= and of= parts or you will lose data.

if= IN FILE of= OUT FILE

I have now migrated 4 tb of data, still missing the drive with all my programs but ill get that tomorrow since the two last hours have gone into cable management, also, when i labeled my hdd's i remebered i got some cloning software together with the last ssd i bought!

So i dug up the ssd box i have stored and it had a activation key for a full acronis TI biggrin.gif sadly i could not find the right build# on the acronis website so i have to dig a little more tomorrow. If i cant get it to work ill try the linux stick again thumb.gif
