Well the Xbox one is DX11.2 compliant. So I don't see it being that much better than DX11.2 unless it is coming with a hefty OS update.

DirectX 12 is more than likely hardware agnostic or extendable.

Meaning, current GPUs may support DX12 without any additional hardware.

Is this not Overclock.net. Why do we care if we can't overclock that Xbox One? Honestly I just don't care.

I had a Xbox because of my brother was a beta tester of it. I got an Xbox 360 because it was ahead of it's time and I wasn't married and didn't have kids. Now I won't jump unless I have a big reason to. My go pleasure will always be a PC where it's much more flexible and customizable.

I hate phrases like "This is OCN" or "This is [H]" to justify for or against something.

Fact of the matter is, sites like OCN are first and foremost a forum for technology. Sure, it may put emphasis on overclocking and high end hardware, but it is a site dedicated to anything computer related.

If the biggest thing DX12 does is give low level access to GPU resources then maybe it is possible most of our DX11 stuff will be DX12 capable as well?

Either that or the Xbox One's GPU IS DX12 compatable (DX12 has been in the pipes for a while now most likely) and its just "disabled" or running in DX11 mode right now.. or DX12 is largely focused on improved performance and optimization, thus allowing the One to take advantage of it (and possibly bump the graphics up to get closer to the PS4...)

After all AMD announced that their last-gen cards supported Mantle just like the new R7 and R9 series do
