I am having a bit of driver issues I think - what drivers are you guys getting best results from. The latest beta seems to give me software issues, not to mention fan speed control is gone.

Beta drivers bonked fan control on these cards for some reason, other than that I get good results from them.

Why do you think that?
1375 is a great overclock on 1 of these with ln2.
290X are generally 1320 cards sub zero

It seems that 290x is really just luck of the draw. Ref cards are plenty capable as far as pcb, but just really depends on the gpu itself. Some clock well, a lot don't. Some clock memory well, be it elpida or hynix, but a lot don't. The 290x lightning has beefed up pcb but probably still comes down to luck of the draw. I couldn't tell you what mine did on h2o, maybe same clocks as ln2.

Another thing about LN2, it could be dice for all that it matters. With these cards people generally aren't running -100 or so. It's still colder than ambient water, but not the typical temps you'd expect from Ln2.

I had it as high as 1305 / 1705 w/ light render test per earlier post here, but in sustainable benching w/air-cooling, I can generally bench between 1250 / 1650 and 1270 / 1670, depending on the bench of course. Here is an Aquamark screenie to that effect.

...and here is a DIRECT comparison on Firestrike / Z77 platform between one of my 780 Ti and the 290X Lightning...by direct I mean IDENTICAL system for the recent HWBot March Z77 competition (the 780Ti was high score, btw). Keep in mind though that the 780 Ti is water-cooled...the 290X Lightning not yet (water and DICE / LN2 later)
