FYI - Price has dropped from $749.99 to $699.99 at Newegg. If you bought the card within the last 14 days, you can get a full price match and receive $50 back. If you had bought it within the last 30 days, they will give half and will receive $25.00 back. Either to credit card, ect. or gift card.

I really appreciate the heads up about the price change, but:

I have no doubt that the Egg will weasel out and give me nothing.
I'm afraid this has happened before.
I tried to open a Chat with them, but it constantly crashed, so I sent them an e-mail.
Thanks again.

I said OCing Nvidia cards was easier for me, because I've mainly used them ever since I bought my 1st upgrade part.
My 1st upgrade actually was an Nvidia card.
I've owned only 3 AMD cards that I can remember, due to their ridiculously faulty drivers.
I'm taking another chance with these 2 Lightnings because of the numerous reports that AMD finally went to school and learned how to create proper drivers.
We'll see. Either they did or I'll have to hit up EBay again.
I've also been reading up on BitMining and have been considering it as mainly a hobby.
For now, I have to learn how to OC all over again.

Try calling and speaking with a person. I've never had a issue with their customer service and even got free shipping on return without being a premier member. Being nice and friendly with the person on the other line goes a long way!

Absolutely empathizing with you. Takes some reading and time to get familiar and comfortable with a whole new set oc particulars.

Is there no way to get this function working?
I installed the MSI VGA Fan Control, but it ain't the same thing as the AB interface.
I like setting the fans to 70% just before benching but there's no confirmation through AB.
I read through the 1st page of this thread (100 posts) and I'm more confused than ever.
AB is just so simple to use with my EVGA GTX 780 Ti's, but using it with these Lightnings is just as strange as can be.
Is the install and operation of AB with non-reference settings enabled the same for all versions of AMD drivers?
When I installed these cards I didn't use the install disk.
All the items were/are out of date so I downloaded each of the latest drivers and CCC.
Should I go back and remove all these downloads and start all over with the programs as they are on the install disk?
I read somewhere that there is an app that has all the proper profile settings for games. I don't know anything about that and can't find the post again.
Luckily, both the serial numbers of these cards are in sequence and the ASIC Quality is almost matched perfectly with each card.
The ASIC for the top card is 74.6% and the 2nd card reads 74.8%, so they're equally matched.
I need to get these cards on the Firestrike HOF. Any help using AB to do it will be appreciated, as I'm no longer used to OCing AMD vga's.
I have no trouble with my other computer with a pair of EVGA GTX 780 Ti K|NGP|N Editions, but OCing these AMD's is strange to me.
LoL, you sound like you are lost in the wilderness. For a start, i'd wipe all AMD/NVIDIA drivers with DDU then install 13.12 WHQL drivers which is the most stable to date. You should get fan control on AB with that driver, IIRC.

The VGA Fan Control is MSI's exclusive software and only for the R9 290X LIGHTNING. It displays the temperature and PWM on the interface, and allows you to control the fan speed via two PWM controllers automatically or manually."
There are certain thing AB can control and others it cannot.
Since the fan control operates from 2 separate PWM controllers, controlled by a card specific program, I don't think the generic fan control of AB can recognize these fans.
AB is just that, a generic OC program for a multitude of different cards.
I'd like to be able to direct you to where I read it, but AB says this, somewhere in its manual, that there are certain things it can't control with aftermarket cards.
I was worried when AB didn't recognize any fans with these cards.
I'd forgotten about the Fan Control software that comes with this card and I had to do some looking before I thought to check the download page for these Lightnings.
The center fan and the 2 side fans are controlled separately. Something AB just can't control.
The MSI Fan Control software has nothing at all to do with drivers. It's a completely separate item.
Now I understand better. So, it's this specific software that has malfunctioned?

Well i just go mine, after a few hours i found some decent stable OC's.

Is there any other way to increase Mem/aux voltage?

and can anyone explain the Aux voltage to me better then google did? it seems to be related to Pci-e/memory voltage, but no clear answer as to what it actually does.
