I tried Fallout 3 and the fans on these cards got quite annoying with all the dark scenes in the game.
Never heard a thing when using my Nvidia's. These AMD's are going to need some getting used to.
I'm just not used to fan noise.
You can't remove the fans without breaking a seal and automatically voiding the warranty, either.
So, no after-market cooling or water blocks.
That's something else I don't like. I've always removed the fans to check the TIM.
Usually there's about half a cup too much paste, but sometimes there just wasn't enough paste on the gpu's.
Seems to me that these card companies could at least learn how simple it is to properly apply thermal paste to a gpu.
I can just picture them squirting the stuff all over the cards with pneumatic grease guns made for battle tanks!
Kind of like money shot time during a porn flick orgy.
TIM flying all over the place where it doesn't belong.

aren't these cards meant for LN2?

A lot of other card company's place stickers over screws as well. I can't rightly recall if MSI is one of them, but have seen customer service reps say as long as the original equipment is installed and its obvious the card wasn't damaged by misuse that they honor the warranty. That said, most people who have been using after market cooling for a while aren't concerned with a void warranty sticker! I'll be blocking mine as soon as they're available at retailers.

Check the OP for unlock and volt mod tools. Use at your own risk. I'll would not risk going above what you already have without custom cooling. Water, DICE, or LN2

Also note my temps in the pretty warm room of mine ( no AC here (farm house - moved to an acreage) and a few multi gpu rigs mining)... This was after a good hour of gameplay

I have been working with MSI on various things for many years. I have used Afteburner before it was publicly available and the same with the xtreme edition for years. I have done demos for them at events at CES and I have been to OC Workshops in Taipei that we gathered with other OCers from avound the world and met with MSI engineering staff and did various other stuff. Its odd to think how long I have been doing this stuff with OC and testing - and when I do test I do mean test, I do not review MSI products, I test them and post up results of what I have had just as I have done with other hardware for years. I also don't encourage going to Vegas and back home - then 3 days later flying 24 hours to Taipei (major jet lag, almost since I was up overnights beofre I left it wasn;t too bad). Plus I got stuck in Anchorage,AK for 24 hours in late January on the way home LOL :/ and whole trip home was 52 hours about. But FRESH Halibut made up for it soo much

Those were the default imits on the new AB beta, 200mv core 100mv mem and 50mv aux.

idk how people are doing over 100mv on mem and over 50 on AUX.

i know there was someway to make a shortcut of AB and increase voltage to as high as you want just for the core though (i cant seem to find out how though, it was posted somewhere).
