Working 12hr. days right now, so I'm short on time. Another quick and dirty oc on core of 1200 w/ +125mv. I ran a full loop of Valley artifact free. Temps are pretty incredible, topping at 61*! Don't think I've ever had a card with as good temps on air. All I have time for now.

...I agree on the temps...this must be the most effective air cooler I have ever encountered (certainly weighs a lot biggrin.gif ) ...even w/ 1250 / 1660 ambient 19c per earlier runs / posts, this card has not shown more than low 60ies ! I'm still going to water-cool it though tongue.gif

For reference, what were you at on voltage for 1250? +200mv or less? All your previous attempts/posts on air dictate you throw a Waterblock on that beast. Dare I think 1325+ with that card on water and extra volts? Hell yeah I do!

...I think I posted the volts here earlier (can;t find it right now > still @ work)...pretty sure max was +185 via RBBY's tool. The card will definitely get a uni-block, just reconfiguring things after I had a 45 degree swivel fitting in my GPU loop develop a crack and burst - what a mess, but fortunately no lasting hardware damage (per http://www.overclock.net/t/1151946/official-asus-rog-rampage-iv-x79-owners-club/8730#post_22070491 )

Another quick and dirty oc at 1220 on core with +135mv. Under load it is drawing 1.29v. with that oc and at stock clocks, 1.22v under load. I'll keep pushing a little further, but will stop at 1250 on air. Looks pretty good so far.

...looks pretty good indeed, w/ lots of headroom for later !

...this weekend, I'm likely going to be able to try some DICE or LN2 on the 290X Lightning for the first time... sad-smiley-002.gif

Try HWBot Heaven. I can run Firestrike & Valley on my card at 1250/1650. But Heaven has minor artifacts, doesn't crash, but can't get rid of the artifacts.

By the way anyone here know at what volts, the stock +50% power limit would cause throttling.?

i broke down today & pushed some ridiculous volts through my card to hit 1300Mhz, still had some artifacts, maybe it was throttling.

I really wouldn't advise running with artifacts. It will definitley cause deterioration. Anything more than 1.32-1.35v on air is taking too much risk IMHO. Grab a cheap DMM for $25 from Home Depot or Lowes. Running a bench through with artifacts is known as a suicide run for a reason. I don't plan on "benching" until I get this under water. A run of Valley here and there to test stability, but I'd rather play it safe. Once it's under water, it will be a different story.
