In my case reflashing GPU bios did not have any effect, but it did not brick the GPU.

I recommend using the atiflash DOS utility as i have read it is more reliable than the Windows app.

I really hope it fixes it!

I was wondering if someone could upload a copy of both bios's Ln2 and standard
and easier than trying to find registry entries I will run dos command to wipe data from c and start again but I don't think that's going to help this Lightning wave2.gif

something I will add screen corruption all started happening after updating to that new bios through MSI Live Update 5, installed correctly so it said I'm thinking I may have f***ed it by not switching back to standard bios before I did the update, maybe a lesson to be learnt here I'm not familiar with these new cards my 4890 rocked for so long.

Did you restart your PC..?
Not shutting it down.
Like reboot.?
For the the BIOS switch to take effect all the power has to be cut off to the card.
Shutting it down doesn't do that.
Alternatively you can turn off the power supply after you have turn offed the PC & then restart the PSU.

Remember you would have to re-install the driver even if you're just switching the BIOS from Normal to LN2 ( and vice-versa). It crashes A LOT if i don't reinstall. Yeah, real pain in the neck

Thanks i will try clean-up utility , but i tried many version of drivers and ref card stable faster than lightning. I don't understand how is possible ) Please anyone test last light without SSAA & physix 1920*1080 max setting. I had been benching my card for 9 hours!!!!

Ok it is available I reflashed bios from Techpowerup and didn't fix it as stated before same corruption
on left side and it seems this card wants to OC, all phases are on all the time now no matter devil.gif
what I do even just running 8x8 and no 6 pin.

Time to RMA. asic was 71.4 I think, so hopefully I get better luck it didn't seem to overclock very well. wink.gif

yeah, RMA time. My asic quality is 76.1 and my issue is intermittent black screen and apparently, i'm thinking of RMA'ing, too...but i'm giving MSI a chance to provide a fix. My other card is doing fine without problem.
