Not that I know of.
Conversely there are no downsides to the new BIOS.
I like to stay with latest & greatest (Stable) drivers, so I updated.

You can choose what you want.

I've been following this card and really want to get it. I've read through the entire thread and I haven't seen anyone post overclocks with the EK waterblock or maybe I missed it. Anyway. I was wondering what the results are with the card on water?

You missed it, the OP posted about his card results with EK WB (you can also see pics in first post) search his nickname post in this thread...

This.
I've been looking forward to others sharing their h20 experience, but am disappointed to say that no one, that I've seen, has posted other than myself. The Lightning has to be one of the, if not best, 290X card on air for sure. So far on water, I've been ale to eek out another 40-60mhz on core with my card. I still have some way to go with it yet. So, it may go a bit further, Really goes to show how outstanding of a job they did with the air cooler. Re-Tim and some fuji's would probably make going water a hard sell.

I have 2 420mm ut60s waiting for a GPU. Just trying to decide on which one to get cuz I really want to oc as far as possible on h2o. I'm hoping that my overkill on rads will seriously help with OC headroom. Just debating on if this card has enough headroom to make me happy.

Really depends on the card. A lower asic card should benefit from a wb more than a higher asic card. Buying a custom pcb card with better power components helps hedge the bet, but it all comes down to lottery and the gpu. Most people will test on air first and try to determine if it's worth the added expense. Regardless, cooling with water will get you better ocs'

How much voltage and clock have you pushed it so far? Does it worth the wb for the added increase? Tia

So far, I'm good at 1285/1625 with +200/+75. Core voltage is 1.38 read with dmm. I've done some testing at 1300/1625 with +225/+75 and 1.4v actual. It's not totally stable at that, but I'm not sure if I want to push more volts or wait until I get my a/c hooked up to the case. Keeping it cooler at this point vs. adding more volts would probably benefit the card more.
I've been adding a wb to any card I've had since I got my wc loop together, about 2 years ago. There is also a pretty big difference between cooling both cpu and gpu together vs. a rad for each component. I personally like using a dedicated loop for cpu and gpu. Hoping to get some extra time today and hook up the a/c. I'll post results.
