4 Fans on 2 Header (ASRock Z87E-ITX)

Hi guys! (Noob here)

1) Planning my new build but I'm a little worried about running 4 fans on 2 header (ASRock Z87E-ITX). Any idea how I could find out the max Amps per header? I checked the manual but didn't see anything. Do you think it'll work reliably in the long run?

2 Fans on CPU header (splitter):
  • Thermalright TR-TY100 (0.25 Amps)
  • Prolimatech Ultra Sleek Vortex 12 (0.12 Amps)
    > Total of: 0.37 Amps - 4.44 Watts

2 fans on Sys/Chassis header (splitter):
  • 2x SilverStone Slim Fan (0.12 Amps)
    > Total of: 0.24 Amps - 2.88 Watts

2) Will the two different fans on CPU header work together with PWM? Will it change the speed of the second fan by percentage, based off the readings from the first fan? Or do I need to run the second fan off a molex adapter?
  • CPU fan 100mm (first): 900~2500 RPM
  • Panel fan 120mm (second): 400 ~ 1300 RPM

Thanks for any help! I'm super stoked! This will be my first build in years, and my first ever high-end gaming build! thumb.gif

I have no idea how PWM works with fan splitters, but I do know that most fan headers have an amp rating of 1A, well above the 0.37A on one of your headers. Also, the actual running amperage is much lower (about half) and the rated amperage is only for startup.

Thanks man! I'm just a little worried because I don't know how to verify the actual limit of this board. redface.gif
