Installing new mobo

Thread Starter
I just purchased a new mobo gryphon z87 (haswell) and currently using p8z68-v (sandy bridge). Ive read that The HDD windows must be reinstall. I have 2 HDD which is one is recently got win 7 installed. Can I just use the old HDD on the new mobo to make a slowly backup with pendrive since i dont have external HDD and transfer some of my file to new HDD. Sorry for my bad english. Does it affect anything on the new mobo?

Personally, whenever I have just switched out a motherboard I don't wipe the drives, the only thing I have happen to me is that I needed to reactivate windows. You should be fine thumb.gif

I've never had a mobo replacement allow me to use windows from my old HDD again. I've always had to reinstall so your results may vary. May as well try it.
