Why do computers hate me?

So I have been having terrible luck with components, to the tune of 4 rmas over the last 3 months on new components. So I received a replacement for a motherboard I've been having issues with (just purchased another brand to be done with it), and put the thing together last night. This is to be my HTPC once I get the hardware problems for my main rig sorted out. i7 3770k, biostar b75mu3+ motherboard, 8gb mushkin ram (temporary for now, a stick from my main rig), 2tb hd, 600w thermaltake psu, bd-rom, and my GTX 670.

Powered this thing on last night, and installed Windows. Downloaded and ran 3dmark. Wow, it runs smooth! Much better than the same system with an MSI z77a (even after rmaing it). Downloaded skyrim and a couple other games last night, played through the intro to skyrim this morning with settings turned up, 1080p. Everything working lovely as it should. Let it continue with dloads afterwards, sit back down a while ago and the screens won't turn back on. Ok, shut the thing down and power back up... nothing, no post beep or anything. After moving all sorts of things around, I can confirm it boots to Windows just fine with the onboard graphics, a radeon 7570, and a gtx550 ti. As soon as I place the 670 in, no post. Rest the cmos a few times, moved the ram around, got nothing.

The 670 still works just fine in another system, and I even moved the PSU over to the other system and everything is peachy. The biostar motherboard and the gtx 670 are working perfect separately, but will no longer function together.

What is freaking going on here? I'm on my 2nd 670, been through 2 MSI motherboards, 2 sets of ram, a psu, and after sending my new gigabyte mobo to be flashed my main rig still will not boot and I can no longer game on the temp rig after a day?

Edit - well after fooling around with every bios option I could, I flashed the bios with the latest version available (the same that was on it already), and finally got it to run with my GPU again. The computers are trolling me.

Just rebooted the system because Steam would not connect, and it is doing it again. I guess the mobo is going back to newegg.

Im honestly not trying to hate, but I have never, ever had good luck with biostar boards. PCChips boards had fewer problems.

When I was building ~5 PCs a month around 10 years ago, I was initially using Asus for everything. Then after 3 DOA boards in a row I switched to Biostar for the basic PCs. I only ran into one DOA Biostar in the years that I built with them, but never used one personally until now. Was hoping after all this trouble I could with something I've had good luck with in the past.\

I miss my DFI Lanparty boards and BFG graphics cards...

Oh, and flashing the board has brought back my video yet again. Perhaps I can just order a different board and then RMA this one once I get it.
