Trust me, you're gonna want to do that once you slap a water block on it. thumb.gif

A 780ti is a bit faster, but also around 150-200 more. Unlocked 780s could beat or at least get close to locked 1.212v 780ti, unless you get a Classy or Kingpin 780ti. If you go 780SLI, it would destroy a single 780ti and cost much less than 2 of them, while giving you basically the same gaming performance.
ordered asus gtx 780 dcii oc today, great price and nice looking card biggrin.gifthe voltage is locked to same 1.212V but if I need I'll go past that. smile.gif
I'm probably going to get another gtx 780 later on but didn't choose Ti because its high price tongue.gif

You can, but only if you hot-wire your GPU, and that would immediately take of your warranty (unless you can revert it back to it's normal state without leaving a trace)

Well there is no need for passing the voltage lock right now wink.gif Would like to keep the warranty if I'm going to sell the card later on.

congrats thumb.gif
I too was thinking of getting 780. But in the end I opted to SLI my 660 and the performance is great really. Haven't seen any micro stutter yet.
Grab another 780 if the price dropped or find a cheap used one and imo, you'll last till Volta or another gen after that.

I agree, having one card now makes it easier to manage temps/noise now for too and get the second card when you get your watercooling loop so you don't have to worry about noise till then.

The other thing is that a 780 has 3GB vRAM, it's going to cost less now compared to two 770's and you're able to upgrade easier (don't need a better board/bigger PSU) to go get a second 780; Whereas you may need to with a third 770. You've also got the issues with multi card occuring more with 3 cards when and if you do and if you have to disable SLi for certain games you still have a more powerful single card to rely on.
