Samsung 4K 1ms monitor $754 it has begun - Page 120

Just got this monitor today. Some issues I have is the flicking random black screens for ~1-2 seconds. These are VERY annoying and I can't figure out how to fix.

I tried to have 2 1080p monitors on each side of the 4k, but the input lag was very noticeable on the 4k, while movement was fine on the 1080p, anyone know how I can fix this?

This is all on a fresh windows 8.1 and R9 290x. 4K looks amazing dough.

It appears the flickering issue is on the AMD driver side. There have been a lot of reports here about this monitor and the Asus version as well.

I expect them to have the fix soon. If you turn your monitor down to 30 hz instead of 60 hz, it goes away according to some reports.

Have you seen different results from 14.4 and 14.6 beta? Ive been on 14.6 beta, haven't tested 14.4 yet.

I don't have an AMD card to test myself. I've just been following this thread and the one on the Asus 4K that uses the same panel.

Yes, my 290x is Elpida and I have experienced random flickers and black screens, as described in more detail above.

I simply unplugged AC adapter and plugged it back in and have not had any flickering/black screens/ white dots in the past 5 hours of usage.

Newest 14.6 R9 290x. Just one monitor plugged in with default cable.
