As long as you have a DisplayPort on your GPU, it will be able to use it. It will do everything but gaming since it's way too big of a resolution to drive with just a 6970 (I don't even know if 3~4 of them will be able to handle it).

It's typically recommended to have at least a R9 290(X) or GTX 780(Ti) for 4K gaming, preferably two if you want maxed out performance.

Thanks for the link. It looks very promising once they move it out to IPS or PLS panels. I like how it sits low on the desk.

yeah i really like the design and that review seems to suggest that viewing angles are not as limited as most TN panels. Actually it gets quite a glowing review. Interesting to see it next to one of the Korean LG ips panels. Might have swayed me into a purchase.

Ordered one from Newegg this past Saturday. Newegg said shipped on Monday. I went for the higher priced 3-5 day shipping. Hope I receive it Friday. It was Shipped UPS, so hoping to begin seeing tracking info tomorrow when it hits the states. The spec's look very good. 60Hz using DP1.2. They indicate its a top quality TN panel. Coming from Samsung, I'm sure it is. thumb.gif

This is very tempting. The only possible deal breaker would be the size. I would like something 30inches or larger.

I am currently using a 1440P 27 inch. 28inch is perfect for me. The price, Samsung, good looks and 60Hz refresh was the selling point for me
Just received my 290x Lightning yesterday. Hope one GPU will be enough.

This monitor is probably the best offering for gamers, if you can over look the small negatives. If I could sell off my current monitor, i'd preorder this tonight!

I'm sure you could get by with some lowered settings, but this is overkill.net right? wink.gif
