The image is very sharp but it really depends if you are playing for visual immersion or performance. Big difference I don't know I'm about the same state of satisfaction when I went from 1080p to 1440p. The response time on this monitor is very good though when it's on the 'fastest' option. I click and I shoot almost instantly and definitely better than the QNIX in that regards. But the tradeoff is potential 120hz+ to 60hz. So again comes down to immersion vs performance.

Go to any best buy and buy a Usa power cord.
Maybe its the cable causing the issue
http://www.amazon.com/standard-compatible-Replacement-Electronic-Figure-8/dp/B0058FN6V2/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1395267276&sr=1-2&keywords=figure+8+power+cord

I have a 60hz 1440p so iam not interested in 120 hz.
Just wont to know if the immersion you talking about its worth the switch

It doesn't show up on the Samsung USA site but I typed in samsung u28d590d driver and it leads to the Australian version where you can download it. Unfortunately it is the same driver that comes on the CD =/

Yeah l88tbastar told me it could be the power adapter cable so I will have to buy one of those figure 8s tomorrow on the way home. I would say yes the 4k is worth it if you're looking for that visual clarity that it provides. 4k games have a really nice level of detail to them that adds alot to the experience. I wish I had a 4k monitor when I played Bioshock Infinite for the first time.

I switched from a 1440p to 4k and I can attest it is definitely worth the switch.

The picture on this monitor looks absolutely stunning and i can honestly say it makes gaming that much more immersive.

BF4 feels like a whole new game.

I will take pics and upload them sometime tomorrow.

I am so glad i made the jump on this purchase. biggrin.gif

Also if you decide to pick one up off of ebay, the dealer i went through shipped it super fast.

I received it today and ordered it Saturday.

Ordered Mine from Newegg (first from Asia) on 3/8/14 and still has not shipped. They do communicate and said they are waiting on a shipment from Samsung and have apologized many times. I will keep waiting I guess unless one comes available from somewhere else. mad.gif

I cant wait to get the monitor .
I already placed a order with amazon expected delivery next month 21 april.

After some People and phallacy had some black screen issue several times i prefer to wait for the USA version and full warranty instead to risk from Korea.
Had bad experience last time with korea sellers.

One of the ebay seller was begging me to buy the samsung monitor and this sounded weird for me.
He told me that the screen should be in stock the next day but after he told me that there is no warranty from samsung usa,
This was the deal break.

Since when is there a Samsung 32" 4k monitor coming out? I haven't even heard anything like that in the rumor-mill. It looks like we're either stuck with these cheap 28" ones of the ungodly expensive 32" ones with MST mode which I heard isn't too fun.

Someone else said something similar on another forum. I hope this is an issue with you guys using some non standard power brick but unfortunately this problem might be present on all these cheap 28" 4k monitors. I'm assuming it's the monitor forcing some type of auto-MST mode but it doesn't work correctly which is making the flickering and stuff.
