I found a fix for the bold, blurry font in the chrome browser at 4k res.

In the Chrome browser go in the settings menu>advanced settings and in web content change the font size to large and go into customize fonts and change all to Arial. (Optional: Page Zoom 125%) smile.gif

I made some test with Thief at 1440p and 4k.

Definitely let us know, after toying around with my QNIX at 120 Hz vs 60 Hz I only notice a very small difference in actual gaming, and was leaning towards going 4K rather than buying the new ROG monitor.
But if you notice barely any difference, I might just stick to my QNIX @ 96 Hz

Test with battlefield 4
Absolute no difference in terms of quality from 1440 to 4k with a 28 inch monitor.
Maybe with a 32 inch or higher (maybe) but passing from a 1440p 27' to a 28'' 4k there is absolutely no difference in image quality.
i remember passing from full hd to 1440p. I was amazed .Not same thing for 1440p to 4k.
Really disappointing in game.
For work and multi task it's really good.
Also i did some test with some 4k video and 1440p. i didnt see any difference either.
My suggestion is to wait for 32'' or better buy a 55 inch monitor and see if this 4k is worth.
For the moment STAY AWAY if you planning to gaming and switch from a 27' 1440p.
Not worth at all. Save the money
I will write a review soon

^Have you tried playing more foliage type levels? Or just larger multipler levels in general? Corrider levels wont highlight any high res setup. Thank you for putting in the effort.

I recently bought an HP ZR2740W 1440p monitor and I am still within the return period. I was wondering if it is worth upgrading to a 4k for 300$ more.

Sweet! I will try this out tonight. Chrome is the browser I use on my phone laptop and desktop, it would have been hard to go to firefox or....IE.

I don't know I noticed quite a difference between the two, same as going from 1080p to 1440p like I said somewhere in this thread earlier. Games like Thief, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3 all show alot of improvement in 4k. BF4 it was harder because I was playing at 150% res scale at 1440p so visually it would be equal. I would run some other games too. Waiting for Titanfall multi gpu and 4k patch to try that out.

Edit: in the first picture in the hallway, I can see a difference in the pipe above you, the locker doors on the right hand side and the hooks with the hose/rope on the left hand side. More depth and smoother lines and generally just bigger and easier to see.

Give us some details on what you do and how you play games, i.e. put down settings for fps performance or turn up settings for visual clarity. We'll give you a more informed answer thumb.gif
