Thanks for the heads up with NCIX. Good Price. $599.99. Just ordered the Samsung. thumb.gif 33 left in stock. Says shipping from NY. Shipping time for me is 2-3 days. I am canceling my order with Amazon, which was $699.99. tongue.gif

I can't remember if this has been brought up, but does the monitor have an aggressive anti-glare coating?

^Not seeing anything having anti--glare coating. Theres spec below the amazon sales page and an question/answer section link as well. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-28-Inch-Definition-Monitor-U28D590D/dp/B00IEZGWI2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396575163&sr=8-1&keywords=Samsung+UHD+Monitor+U28D590

Ah great! You're welcome! (-:

The Amazon price will probably improve when they sell it themselves. Right now it is through a market seller.

I really have to say thank you to the other members of this forum for their early impressions (-; This is the first time I've had a hard time picking a monitor. There are so many new options coming out this year!!! This forum is actually one of the few places on the internet with any information for months hehe. I didn't even hear about this monitor during CES.

29in LG wide is just $359 this year (http://goo.gl/BD8sIF), so I almost bought that as the best value option.
34in LG wide 1440p monitor seems like it will be $1199 looking at the Korean prices, so that seemed a little too much, and there is no official price yet.
And the Asus monitors who knows when they will come out...
And I've been using a 40 inch tv for a few months and I love that except for the resolution and some neck pain. Maybe should buy a 32 inch 4k tv if they ever come out and just use that!

I'm getting too excited. I'll post my impressions I hope next week.

Hope mine ships out tomorrow(Friday). From NY I may receive it by Wed.

Anybody know if the USA version will have the external power supply like the Korean version?

^I'm assuming so, considering neweggs display pics show the power brick.

Thanks. I'm sure it will be the power brick also. That's ok, my 1440p has one and I never notice it.
My two lightnings in crossfire will drive 4K for sure.

It'd be nice if you could just place the monitor on the base without the middle piece. I feel like the monitor is way too far off the surface!

This may have already been answered, but I can't tell from the pictures. Does it include a DP cable?
