Samsung 4K 1ms monitor $754 it has begun - Page 47

Got mine in today. Coming from an asus 120hz I can say the colors are better but I think the response or lag is bad. I think I'm going to get the asus 27" 1440p 120hz. Don't like this lag. Ran games like Titan fall and cod ghost at max no problem with two gtx 780ti's in SLI

1.Plug And Play... no drivers what so ever.
2.Screen size is PERFECT for a desktop power user. Tried 32... too big!
3.Very minimal input lag!
4.Coating is comparable to the Qnix-X-Star Screens.. Not aggressive and very mild.
5.Screen quality is excellent.
6.Colors are extremlly good for a TN screen.
7. No backlight bleed and no dead pixels that I can find!
8. Can do upscaled 1440 and 1080 with no issues through the DP port... oh yah did I mention 4k 60hz easy?
Bads:
1.Screen stand is a bit wobbly and of course no Vesa mounts and the stand is rigid.
2.Screen had extreme tearing until I turned off all "gaming and response" options from OSD... after that it became super smooth.
3.Colors needed a bit of calibration out of the box but after that it seemed semi-PLS and the only difference was a mild blue tin on the blacks.
4.Tried a lot of games on it and everything ran find and dandy but you gonna need a minimum of two cards to enjoy FPS intensive games on it and tri-cards are recomended for maximum enjoyment.

Could you test if 1080p works at 120Hz? Some people managed to do it with the seika or seiga whatever the name is 4K monitor.

Is that with the monitor set to gaming mode?

Turn off all response and gaming options. They are literraly tearing inducers.

How do I turn those off. The menu options are in Korean. Can't read Hangul!

Mine is on the way from NCIX. Hoping to receive by Thursday. Also hoping it is a USA version with English menu's at power on.

Korean is dead simple to learn to read, it is just an alphabet where each syllable is arranged into a character block. Problem is finding a good teacher or book cause they are usually terrible (-: Google translate is pretty terrible also with Korean.

A circle at the beginning of a syllable means the first letter is a vowel.

언어 is language in Korean. 영어 is English in Korean. Maybe that will help? haha

"ㅇ" plus "ㅓ" plus "ㄴ" equals 언 (the last syllable is written on the bottom, that is the only tricky part)
There is a circle because the first sound is a vowel, that vowel is "eo(어)" pronounced like awe, and final sound is "n(ㄴ)" so the character is "eon(언)", which sounds like the english word "on"

Good luck (-:

Thank you. As soon as I get home I will be changing it

Thanks King4x4, I got it working beautifully with your help. I will now be keeping this screen. And by the way for anybody wondering two classified 780 TI's in SLI destroy games on this screen. It's 4K gaming goodness for me:)
