Andy guys there is no MST mess with this display. It handles 4k 60hz native off of displayport 1.2! If you elect to hook up two hdmi cables then there is a crude mst mode for that.

top_trading on eBay. Can you confirm that the display does 4k 60hz native with dp 1.2?

DAMMIT thats who I ordered from too :-(
When did you order, I ordered Sunday and they told me mine would ship on Friday.

The screen does not use MST, Its native 4k 60hz. Its basically the same panel and internals that the asus 4k uses and JJ confirmed that there is no MST. Also the guy on here who owns one did not mention any MST.

I ordered one on Sunday and it too has been delayed. I ordered mine from etradekorea on eBay. They have been pretty nice about it, I would think about trying to find it from another source but I figure they will all be having these difficulties. I really can't wait for it!

If you can wait, $699.99 at Amazon mid April or about $750 on eBay from Korean sellers. I went the second route and my order along with those below me have been delayed for a little.

Afraid we are in the same boat then =/. Ordered yesterday morning. That's good to know however that 4k 60hz is native. Is there a video or some article where JJ confirms this ?

Did they give you a date?

About a day after I ordered, they updated their listing to say that they would be shipped March 19th, which was a day that I saw earlier in here too. I emailed them when I saw it was delayed, and they said they have located stock from Samsung and will have it shipped this week.

However, I was the first person to order from that listing, so I assume that it's possible they found one somewhere and will ship it to me this week. I'll make sure to keep this thread updated.

Wow really love how this monitor looks, sadly, I just cannot go back to 60hz redface.gif

I may just end up buying the ASUS 1440p 120hz monitor coming out soon, wish I could have this monitor in 120hz though biggrin.gif

I want one 27-28" ips 4k panel for this kind of pricing... skeptical even improved tn is any good. The 24 surround is cool but the panels are too small imo, and pricing of course is much higher.

Aw damn, I ordered from top_trading Mon night too, but their listing still says nothing about delayed orders. The guy says my order will be shipped on Fri. If he doesn't ship by next week I guess I'll ask for a refund.

I would have preferred 28" or 30" 4K IPS non-IGZO panel. I came from 3 30" Dell U3011 (IPS) which were absolutely massive compared to these UP2414Qs.

The Surround on 3x 24" actually feels much more manageable for me on the desk.

The ONLY downside to the monitor is MST - all 4K monitors @ 60Hz use MST. Someone claimed this Samsung TN panel is 60Hz "native" (ie SST). Using DP 1.2? lol wut?

Really have to see it to believe it. IF that's true, they just undercut Dell's own 28" TN "4K" panel that's priced the same but does only 30Hz @ 4K.

Running Surround with these IPS Dells @ 60Hz also means that the system is "seeing" 6 monitors (MST) instead of 3. LOL..

I was told SST 4K @ 60Hz native won't come around until 2015. For SST @ 60Hz @ 4K don't you HAVE to have DP 1.3 or HDMI 2.0?

Something seems fishy... and .. the eBay seller of this monitor can't spell properly ("panal"). Sounds legit! biggrin.gif
