I am not entirely sure what it means. Prior to this I was planning on adding a second monitor to my setup, but this one seems to be able to do exactly what I am looking for.

Also, I am currently using a HD7970. I am guessing this is not going to be enough power to handle this monitor. Is there any single GPU that will get me good results, as I want to avoid sli or crossfire. I don't mind turning down a few settings, I don't play that much games anyway.

The PIP bascially splits the screen in 2, so you can have separate sources going into the monitor at once. You can watch a movie on on side and go online on the other. However, the screen is 28 inch...once split it is small imo. If you're not a big gamer, i wouldnt even upgrade the gpu, just play at a lower res.

Just wanted to chime in and celebrate the availability of a 4K60 SST display with all of you. AMD worked closely with the scaler vendor for this panel prior to release to ensure that Catalyst has full software support for 4K60 SST to complement the hardware support in our display controllers, just as we promised we would in Hawaii. smile.gif

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a few of these myself!

Here's a question I'm not sure if any of you can answer. I like dual monitor setups and currently have two BenQ xl2420t monitors. I have a 780ti and was wondering if there would be issues having a 4k monitor for desktop use and a single BenQ xl2420t monitor in 120hz for gaming. I know there are small issues having dual monitors with different resolutions.

I might actually just sell one of them and go for the Asus RoG 1440p 120hz monitor instead of a 4k monitor.

Decisions decisions.

Samsung just told me that they dont cover purchase from ebay.
So i wanna return this crap of monitor back to the seller

I have interference lines coming up every 5 minute around 50 time at day. mad.gif

Just stay away from this crap samsung monitor.
I also have issues with my tv samsung 55 inch with 35 bad pixel line paid 2000 dollar two year ago
Out of warranty only 5 days ago samsung doesn't cover it.
Instead Samsung gave my number to a Repair technician and he ask me 150 dollar just for an estimate.

I will never ever in my life by a Samsung products again

The warranty issue you should have been aware of before buying. It's pretty standard for companies to only honor warranties in the country it was bought. This is the price of early adoption. I purchased a SquareTrade 3 year warranty for $60 after using a coupon so if anything happens I will get a new one or get the value of the monitor. You might have just gotten a bad panel and I feel for you that your history with Samsung products is less than stellar. If you're still within 30 days of your purchase I would consider getting a squaretrade warranty and have it serviced that way.

Are you referring to this monitor or generally? This monitor does 60hz and many people especially those who don't play fps games have gotten used to 30hz over the years because most of what is watched including film and TV is filmed at 24fps. Personally after going up to 60 then 120 30hz is no longer an option but you have to remember most folks here are bleeding edge enthusiasts and not mainstream buyers.
