The Asus rog swift vg278q is going to be sooooooooo sweet. I wish it was out, 2560*1440 at 144mhz without any altercations or overclocking

Can anyone with this display answer the following questions:

What is the max refresh rate you can get at 1080p? 60 Hz? 120 Hz? 144 Hz? 240 Hz?

Anyone with a Quadro or FireGL able to confirm 10-bit color support?

Question to AMD and Nvidia guys:

Now that 10-bit consumer displays are starting to ship, are you going to enable 10-bit color support for Radeon and Geforce in your drivers?

Its not a true 10-bit panel...

Max refresh of 60hz

True but the FRC should still allow it to display 1.07B colors even if it will have more banding than a true 10-bit display. Looking for confirmation that this works.

That is a bummer. The first company to pair the scaler in the UD950 with a 4k, 10-bit, quantum dot, 240 hz panel is going to have a real winner on their hands.

Yeah, I don't care much. Definitely not portrait mode friendly. No buggy.

This monior is a TN panel and does not come close to supporting 10-bit color.

Yes it is a TN Panel and yes it is not a "true" 10-bit display, however, being a 8-bit + FRC display it should still be capable of reproducing 1.07 billion colors and thus should support 10-bit color on a technical basis. This is just like how current 6-bit + FRC TN panels support 8-bit color on a technical basis even though they obviously don't look as good visually compared to other 8-bit displays. You ought to be able to run Photoshop in 10-bit with this samsung monitor and a Quadro or FireGL card. Now whether the drivers can support this is another thing which is the reason for my question.

The Dell UP2414Q (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=860-BBCD) is some what similar in that it is also a 8-bit + FRC 4K display. It differs by being IPS and 4k MST while the Samsung is TN and 4K SST.

Amazon changed my date to the 29th. But, I'll wait since the price has gone back up at most retailers (incl Amazon) to $699!

Funny, how Newegg shows that as a deal now with an adjusted MSRP of $799?!?!

Frys still says $699 on their website... Do you know if it's cheaper in store?
