Fantastic. It works for you.

Thing is. Nvidia has already stated it's been lab tested and they have the same issue. Perhaps on your system or driver revision you don't have the issue, but I am not the only one.

So I'll say this again. It does NOT run SLI @ 4K yet. Just because it works on a few systems, does not mean it will work on all.

Don't give people false information. When they order the monitor and it doesn't work the way they thought it would, it's not going to be a good time.

Caps aren't required btw.

I will add, I've tried custom resolutions as well as a few driver revisions, and so have the others that are having the problem.

The monitor's scaling was not incorporated into Nvidia drivers as ManuelG said. It will be added in the next driver revision. If it works for some of you, great.

Has anyone compared playing on 1080p,1440p and 4K to see if the increased resolution makes much difference in visual quality ?

4k looks much better, this monitor inperticular didn't scale well for me. Gaming on anything below native introduced even more lag/input lag and visually didn't look right to me. Also for some odd reason half of the textures in bf4 wouldn't load if I ran it at 1440p, no grass or anything, as soon as I changed it back to 4k eveything popped back in. My consoles looked fine on it, not sure if that's considered up scaling.
My monitor is on order but I was playing around with another 4k monitor that a colleague had and I noticed that having AA on or off doesn't make a difference or at least my eyes cannot see.

It's going to be interesting since I'm coming from crappy 1680x1050 displays to this.

okay, no caps...how's this: please stop perpetuating this myth regarding the failure of SLI on this monitor. I have run it in Sli using both Titans and kingpins, and it works very well. Evidence based. Could it be that you have you setup configured incorrectly? I have also compared the Sammy directly (like side-by-side) with my Seiki 4k30Hz panel (4K30Hz via HDMI), which i have been running since March of last year, and the screen refresh rate difference is easily detectable with your DSR camera set to 1/30 and 1/60 shutter times. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Anyway, enjoy your 4K monitor when you get it right.

Jpmboy,

Is that the optimal viewing angle? I know that the Sammy doesn't have height adjustment so I'll have to get some kind of monitor riser to ensure proper viewing angle. I'm thinking with my triple R9's I think I can drive it at a solid 60fps. I can't wait until I get mine.

with consoles it's always upscaled content, i know because i played Wii U on my Dell 4K.

It's 720p upscaled, but it surprisingly doesn't look bad at all for what it is, and it helps that 4K is exactly 9x 1080p so it's easy to scale both 720p and 1080p content to 4K.

Sorry, but NVIDIA has stated that they have replicated the issue in their labs as well. There's a reason that they're bringing specific support for this monitor over to the current line of drivers in the next release.

I have SLI TITAN's and have the same tearing/flickering problem with various (but not all) games when playing at 4k 60hz with SLI enabled. I've noticed that disabling SLI results in the image being OK in most games, are you sure you're not the one with the incorrect configuration and simply have two cards installed without SLI enabled?

Hey ManuelG!

Just tried upgrading to Windows 8.1 last night to see if that would help, playing BF4 with everything at Ultra (AA Deferred on 2x, AA Post on Low). Got good FPS for about 1 minute and then something crashed causing all of my screens to go blank (I'm running 4 screens, two off my SLI TITAN's, two off a GT 610). I could still RDP into the system, but couldn't shut it down without a hard shutdown as something was preventing Windows from gently shutting down.

no... i just put it there for comparison. somewhere i have a shot with both screens on, Sammy at 60Hz and Seiki at 39Hz. The sammy is a TN panel, so "dead-ahead" viewing is the optimal angle. thumb.gif

lol. no, sli is enabled. only gaming I've done so far is in the COD series. I do not see any screen tearing in any benchmarks including:
