(Windows) Memory Leaks? - Page 3

It is best to leave it alone, however it stopped automatically increasing size for me, so I had to manually increase it. I saw it had increased up to 6GB at one point, so I gave it an additional 2GB, which held off the next warning a few more days. When I got my second drive, I put the primary drive on auto, and the new drive at ~30GB. Seemed to work for me.

eXXon, are you talking about RAM usage when you've completely turned off the paging file?

"Implied" If I were you, I would start backing up my data and do a clean reinstallation and get all the latest drivers from Intel, Nvidia and the latest BIOS from MSI.
(New BIOS wouldn't hurt.)

I run at about 960GB normal, If a system is using over 1.5 GB on idle I start wondering why let alone 3.5. Either you have too many processes running that are UN-necessary or malware could be the case

Yep, my PC (Win 7 with 8GB RAM) stabilizes at 1.3 GB memory use at Start-up.

Note: I'm using the value displayed in left side green Memory graph panel of the Performance Tab of Task Manager.

I found it interesting that the SteelSeries Engine is using the largest chunk of Working Set memory right after Start-up.

That's exactly what I was getting for a few days. Whenever I pressed Cancel it would just automatically close my Browsers regardless at the very least, sometimes uTorrent too, amongst other things.

An update on this - I dumped a RAM Optimizer that was running in the background, automatically "optimizing" when I went below 8% free RAM, my latest restarts show RAM usage around 40% before I start opening stuff, 70% once everything is up & running, no complaints when I'm running any Video Games either, so all is good (for now).

Messed with pagefile once, didn't have a good result, rather hesitant to do so again, hopefully won't have to.

I'll have to keep an eye on the RAM usage, see how it goes from here, but it seems whatever it was decided to sort itself out. Mostly. Many thanks all.

Go to bios, set up primary device to pci and turn off your integrated gpu then post us results smile.gif

my ram usage when running few stuffs+3 pages on browser is 2.5 gb cached is 3.4 gb paged pool is 297mb and non paged pool 129mb
