PC won't display video if GPU is installed.

Windows 8.1/ ELSA 770 Hybrid Water Cooled/ Asus Z-87-i/600 Watt Corsair semi-modular

I can't seem to get my new build running with the GPU plugged in. Even if I switch the DVI or HDMI cable to the motherboards ports, it simply refuses to display a picture. The card seems to be alive, the pump and fans are going... and the power connections are in etc.

Anybody have any ideas? It works fine if I remove the GPU, posting from the machine now...

Try moving the GPU to another PCI slot if you have one worked for me, still don't know what was wrong though!

^ This, also use the iGPU to get into Bios and make sure the Primary Display Device is the PCI-E one. Switch off, install the 770 and check.

Only have the one slot, it's an ITX board. I'll try the BIOS.

Yep the BIOS was set to 'Auto' and I guess some component along the way couldnt make up its mind. Forced it to PCI-E. Cheers folks.

Damn the pump on this card is loud though. Like a bug in my ear.

EDIT: Now the new problem... Geforce Experience doesn't wanna play nice with the card it seems, anyone know why?
