Is it worth it?

Hey all, I am considering the following and not sure if it is a wise move quite yet:

I am wanting to pick up a couple aio cpu coolers to cool my gpu's using the kraken g10 adapter for them. I have checked clearance and it's good there. The 7850's I own have heatsinks on the vrm so I feel they would be good to go. Is this a wise investment given that the g10's and aio's can be reused in the future?

My max temps at the moment are : gpu1=64c....gpu2=63c @21c ambient

Also do these coolers draw a bit of power or is it negligible? This whole process will set me back about 170$ but I consider it future proofing in a way.

Another issue is that they say the g10 compatibility chart is based on the reference design cards...Any thoughts? Thanks for your time.

I am waiting for all my parts to watercool my 7870's, you will always have people telling you its a waste. but would you do it first time with a 2500 dollar video card setup?? I used the antec 920 for a year, clc's work good. My antec started to loose performance after a year though. The pumps should be powerful enough. With the Vram, as long as some airflow over the heat sinks you should be good.

never needed to measure, fan header plug for 2 fans and the usb connector, all off mobo. I think the pumps form astek are only .5 watt
