Frame Drops in BF4 with GTX 660 SLI.

Thread Starter
i've had my SLI around for a little bit now but i just can't stand the frame drops in BF4 anymore. Im just wondering if anyone is having frame drop issues as well or if im just special. in a previous thread we had determined that my SLI was working but it was bottlenecking do to my old processor. i have an AMD Phenom X4 965 black edition, and i was also wondering perhaps i might get better frames if i overclock? anyway any insights or answers would help tremendously.

Your CPU is getting old, and overclocking it would probably help a lot or going for a new CPU.
With a strong CPU your 660 SLI should run the game pretty good at 1080p.

Cpu bottleneck and your memory bandwidth.change cards if vrm usage goes above 1.5gb and you use more than 4xAA

I ran a pair of 660's with my 3770K and got a constant 80FPS+. Have you tried newer drivers? If you have then I'm sorry but your CPU is a little old.

If your cpu is stock, this is why.

it's your CPU.

try playing the campaign and see if you still get the frame drops.
