Hey there guys. Im new to this community forum an was looking for some input.

I just built me a new System an have a a small bit of experience in over clocking as i built two previous rigs before this one now.
Here are my System Specs

Motherboard
Asus Sabertooth Z87 LGA1150

CPU/Processor
Intel Core I7 4770k

CPU Cooler
Corsair H100i

Ram/Memory
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 Mhz 8Gb(4x2Gb)

Video Card
Evga GTX660 FTW

SSD
Intel Pro Series 1500

PSU
Corsair TX750 Non Modular

I Have managed to get it stable from 3.50Ghz up to 4.30Ghz and it is very peppy/fast my bestfriend think i should try an push it more but im happy with where it at. But if anyone would like to share there opinions please do on weather or not i should and why.

thats a decent mild overclock. if your voltage and temps are acceptable for you, and the speed is acceptable, why feel the need to push any further? haswell 4770k under normal cooling situations wont go too much higher regardless. to go much higher you will need better cooling, delid, lapped chip etc. these chips can be hit or miss, some can oc higher than others.

Haswell seems pretty unpredictable. I don't know the statistics, but 4.3 is pretty good on some chips. Still, we'll convince you to push it harder soon enough biggrin.gif

Also, that looks like a solid workstation build to me, but you need to upgrade that little 660 of you game a lot.

An as far as my rig goes i dont really push it the most i do is stress test to check stability of the overclock an i do light gaming such as wow and counterstrike and some COD from time to time and so far this system handels it all without a hitch, but again thanks for all the welcome's and input/advice.
