I check the bug and technical issues but since this is card related I decided to post this here please dont own me =(.

First off i start with the card itself.

Geforce GTX 780 ACX FTW edition

...Now here is the issue.

At lower temps everything is fine. However, when I load Crysis 3 (loves this freaking game =P) and play it on max settings my GPU gets a little bit of a work load and gets to about 75C to 80C. This is all fine and dandy but I exited the game for the first time after the first level and something became really noticeable. I notice lines flicker up and down. They are kind of faint and I almost want to go as far enough to say that they are a faint white color.

Now, when my GPU cools down the flickering lessons and then goes away it seems

I am using VGA cord with a DVI adapter for it. I hear this can cause this to happen but shouldn't it happen at all temperatures right?

Seriously though, I hope I do not need to buy a new graphics card. I did get the computer form Cyberpower (knowing their reputation) and EVERYTHING is amazing despite this one GPU factor. If I have to get a replacement I am thinking I can try to go through NVIDIA hopefully since Cyberpower has the worst customer support ever.

You tried native DVI only? just make sure it's not the VGA that's causing the issue.

Cyberpower? Eh i wouldn't trust them, of anyone i would trust it's Microcenter... if a store is near you, that is.

Since you said your using a VGA cord, it sounds like it very well could be interference. Is there any way to use a DVI cable? Before I would even think of changing the graphics card, I would try changing the cable.

Shouldn't these lines appear all at temperatures if the cord is causing the issue? Why would the appear when the card has extra workload if the cord is the problem?

I will try a DVI cord but I just want to make sure I understand what is going on as well.

well if you think its a heat which does seem the case then get an external fan or hairdryer and blow cold air into the case and see if it disappears.

But it could also be the sign of an oc or incapability to run at the given hz/mem thumb.gif

Define? I am not a huge computer wiz hence me coming here.

OC, you mean overclock?

Running what at the given hz/mem?

1st of all did you eliminate the heat issue ? Take the panel of !

2nd, if its when the card is at full use then there maybe a fault with the card

3rd you need to tell us more about your system - the psu maybe straining thumb.gif

Sign of a dogy OC can sometimes look like snowy artifacts - but you say flickers thumb.gif

also, it would be EVGA, not Nvidia you would seek an RMA with as they make your card and EVGA have good customer service.

as ladcrooks said, run your computer with the side panel off and see if it still does it.

Is your monitor VGA only or can you run it via DVI? If you can run native DVI try that, if not then try a different VGA cable.
