[Scratch Build] UDesk [Airtight, Lowcost, Very low noise PC built in Desk]

Hi there,

let me introduce my project called UDesk. This endeavor is aimed at production of very silent and still quite powerful PC built in table/desk.

The project is set to be quite lowcost, with quite limited budget, so you wont see any fancy watercooling parts, on the other hand you might find interesting ways how to do stuff differently.

I will add more information on the go, so lets start with some 3d models and some finished parts.

Have fun.

There is a break in updates for UDesk, so I brought my previous work to keep you guys entertained, here are the highlights of UCase. After a week or two we will get back to UDesk smile.gif

BACK To Udesk!!!

And now for some real progress.
These parts are create basic desk construction. I decided to use "real" wood for the desk to be comfortable and nice to look at.

Remember this project is very lowcost oriented, so what you see is old rusty material from junkyard turning into something decent.

Lets start with something special about this case/table. It is not static!
Components are placed on a construction which can be extended from a table to allow easy cable management and other cool features like easy filling and draining water from cooling etc.

This design required some math to be solved, you can try it yourself. The mechanism works in-situ, that means it extends from the table and doesnt require more space around it self than in its folded position.

Thanks!

Here are the parts painted, not much to say, except the fact it was quite difficult, cause i used junk aluminum sheets that were severely scratched and dirty (well they were actually baking sheets for some cakes)

Plan for the next update is debezeling of Qnix OC screen and epic lcd holder (can move around the entire room biggrin.gif )
