Thought about that one already and yes, I did restart. As well as check the Nvidia settings on the main GPU program( can't think of what it's called), to make sure the V-sync was on addaptive. As well as checking all the other settings.......with AA off.......just thought of something: I wonder whether it has anything to do with the MSAA SweetFX injector not being compatible with this present driver ????!!!!!!

With SweetFX being a fairly new technology, that might be the reason behind your FPS lag.

I went from 320.14 to 332.21 a week ago or so and have been good so far (knock on wood)

Not gonna touch it anytime soon. Wait for 340 maybe.

The whole V-Sync+Limiter situation is far from resolved. Yes, V-Sync appears to be working with the limiter in this driver (in that there is not tearing), but now it causes lock-ups instead. If you run V-Sync and then enable the limiter, the screen will regularly freeze for a second or more (GPU usage dips to 0% during these momentary freezes).

This is a serious issue because using a limiter at 60fps is the only way to make 60Hz V-Sync smooth now. Without the limiter there is a whole lot of what's best described as microstutter even when the framerate never drops below 60fps.

instead of the " limiter " why don't you create a custom resolution @ 30hz ? so when you play the game set it to the new res so V-sync won't fight with the " limiter "

it's not hard

What are you on about? Who said anything about 30Hz.

- The monitor is at 60Hz
- V-Sync is enabled
- The game is running at a steady 60fps
- But there is still some kind of microstutter (don't ask me why)
- Enable the limiter at 60fps, and the stutter is eliminated

What part of that don't you understand?

If the game isn't smooth at 60Hz@60fps, then what makes you think 30Hz@30fps is going to be any better.

The Limiter=Refresh Rate with V-Sync thing has been incredibly helpful in reducing or eliminating hitching/stutter in all sorts of games for a very long time (as anyone who uses V-Sync in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will definitely be able to attest) The limiter has never 'fought' with V-Sync until Nvidia screwed it up just recently.
