looking for bezel-less monitors for eyefinity

Thread Starter
hey everyone I am looking for bezel-less monitors for eyefinity, my current setup is ghetto rigged with two 22"s and a 24" with thick bezels. im trying to get some of these bezel-less monitors i hear about, but i went down to microcenter and looked at a few and they have this black edge around them on the screen that makes the thin bezel useless. its like a half inch of "not real bezel but still bezel"

IPS is a plus but i dont really get what its all about to be honest, i looked at some at microcenter and they look nice, but i dont know the mechanics of it.

so im looking for screens that are very thin bezel and no weird gimmick fake bezel.
im looking at the 24" range up to 27"
trying to spend less than 200USD per screen.
must have VESA mounts.
looking for good color quality, again i don't know how to read the ratings, i usually buy screens local because of this.

LMK what you have seen or use, what you recommend and what to stay away from smile.gif

AOC has a pretty cool thin bezel display that's only like 150 bucks on Amazon, LED, IPS and low power usage.

AOC MONITOR

I don't think any manufacturers make a true "bezeless" display, though I have seen screens advertised as that. Sometimes they use clever photos/photo shopping to make the bezel appear to not be there so it would be a good idea to check out a video review to make sure you know what you are getting.

I think the biggest problem with them would be shipping, they'd be extremely susceptible to breaking. Even when you buy a replacement laptop screen it has a type of bezel around it. It's one of the main things that keeps me away from multi-monitor gaming, having black streaks between the screens really breaks the experience for me. I've seen mods of people removing bezels that turn out quite nice, but personally I wouldn't have the cash to cover screwing one up and it doesn't sound like you are interested in modding them.

You can get pretty darn close with those thin bezel monitors though, just kind of depends what you can tolerate.

Thanks man, not a fan of that huge silver bar at the bottom :/ and they dont have VESA mounts.

do you know what the monitors are in that pic? those look really good.

id be okay with a debezel i suppose but since i want to get matching sized screens anyways i figure i should just buy thin bezels.

Samsung 23" LED Monitor S23A750D, though I believe they are modded for an even smaller bezel. You can also set them up so that the bezels aren't edge to edge, instead overlapping so you only see one bezel as opposed to double bezels.

These dell monitors look really good, kind of pricey though. They have vesa mounts as well.

Checkout CallsignVega's thread "Matte-Film removal and custom De-Bezel display services". He can give you some good advice on monitor choices and he offers a de-bezel service if you don't want to chance it your self. Sorry for not putting actual links in but the editing options on the forum reply window won't work for me on this connection. Something to do with network security setting here, they block the scripts that enables buttons in the browser for some reason.

From the spec sheet:
Stand
Height-adjustable stand, tilt, pivot, swivel and built in cable-management
Flat Panel Mount Interface:
VESA (100 mm)

It looks like they have 100mm vesa, unless you were looking for 200mm. I think they make adapter plates to go between the two.

oh my mistake. i just looked at the back in the picture and didnt see the holes. 100mm is what id use most likely. still at 350 a piece :/ kinda steep for my price goal, but i may just be stuck with higher prices on monitors with thin bezels since thats a "luxury" feature on TVs and stuff.

i found that thread with the debezel service the other guy mentioned. i posted there to see what he says, he looks like he knows this topic very well from what i saw on his thread

The Dells monitors are deceptive if you try to find the VESA mounts just by looking. The Dell stand detaches from the monitor by pushing a button on the back and the mounting holes are in the recessed spaced underneath. We use Dell monitors in the office and I've swap a few stands out before.
